Hartlepool are sixth in npower League One thanks to a 2-1 victory at Carlisle.

Gary Liddle (21) and Adam Boyd (41) gave them a 2-0 lead and although a Rory Loy penalty (74) halved the deficit it was just a consolation.

A Cristian Montano goal (65) guided Notts County to a 2-1 win over Walsall.

Lee Hughes (38) gave the hosts the lead before Andy Butler levelled.

A last-minute goal by Lee Smith saw bottom side Leyton Orient claim a vital point in a 1-1 draw at Colchester.

Smith slotted home from close range to equalise Anthony Wordsworth's opener shortly before half-time.

Second-bottom Bournemouth were hammered 3-0 at home by Chesterfield, whose first win of the season came courtesy of Noel Alexandre Mendy (33), Craig Westcarr (59) and Leon Clarke (71).

Rochdale won 4-2 at Bury, their goals coming from Ashley Grimes (five), Marcus Holness (10), Nicky Adams (18) and David Ball (47). Adams was sent off in the 76th minute for his second yellow card.

Mike Jones (21) and Andy Bishop (63) scored the Shakers' goals.

Oldham and Stevenage drew 1-1, Shefki Kuqi (19) levelling for the hosts after Mark Roberts' early opener.
