Liverpool braced for shock £35m striker exit - reports

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez could be subject to a £35 million bid from Real Madrid, according to The Guardian.

The Uruguayan has made quite an impact since moving to Anfield from Ajax during the January transfer window, form that has seen his popularity shy rocket during his eight month spell in the Barclays Premier League.

However, his impressive showings in the red of Liverpool have led to advances from Madrid, known for their lavish spending.

The club spent £80 million on Cristiano Ronaldo, but a fee of £35 million would reportedly be enough to snare the Liverpool striker.

After spending in excess of £100m over the past, Liverpool may be keen to recoup some of that by selling one of their star names, especially given the cover provided by Andy Carroll, Dirk Kuyt and Craig Bellamy in attack.
