Leeds United are closing in on a deal for Finland midfielder Mika Vayrynen, according to The Sun.

The free agent left Heerenveen after last season and is expected to decide on a move to Elland Road in the next 24 hours.

Fellow countryman Mikael Forssell signed for Leeds last week after sealing a one-year deal following a trial.

A Sun source said: "Mika has visited both Salzburg and Leeds. He is now ready to make a decision."

Leeds recovered from a difficult start to the season to beat Crystal Palace 3-2 on Saturday.
