Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio has ridiculed Crawley manager Steve Evans ahead of the sides' League Two clash on Tuesday.

Evans last week branded the Italian's set-up at the County Ground as 'a circus', as well as criticising the antics of the Robins players and Di Canio in recent matches.

But the ex-West Ham man shrugged off the accusations with a verbal blow of his own, and said: "I've played in front of mafia people. People like him make me laugh - I laugh in the face of them."

He added: "I laughed in the face of 70,000 Man Utd fans when I scored, you could imagine what it would be like if I was worried by the words of him who I've never heard of before."
