Arsenal's spending spree endorsed

Arsenal's majority shareholder Stan Kroenke says he trusts Arsene Wenger to do the right job and has given the thumbs up to the club's transfer policy this summer.

The French boss has come under scrutiny from many quarters after star men Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri were sold this summer, and replacements were slow in coming.

The likes of Mikel Arteta and and Per Mertesacker were brought in finally and Kroenke says Arsenal is in good hands under Wenger.

"We like to know what everyone is doing, and we keep up with it," Kroenke said.

"We have our football people in place because we believe they can get the job done, so we just let them do their jobs.

"I don't coach. I don't play. I don't scout players. The idea is to put good people in place and trust them to do their jobs."

Park Chu-Young, Yossi Benayoun and Andre Santos were also brought to Arsenal during the final days of the transfer window and victory over Swansea City has temporarily appeased the supporters at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal resume their Champions League campaign away at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.
