Tim Cahill has firmly pledged his allegiance to Everton, admitting he would never consider the possibility of joining Liverpool.
The Australian international, a Goodison Park stalwart since moving to Merseyside from Millwall in 2004, was questioned on the possibility of a Toffees exit on his Twitter page.
A fan asked the Socceroo if the 31-year-old would ever consider leaving the club for a rival, notably Liverpool in the future, to which Cahill responded emphatically.
The follower tweeted: “Would you ever consider doing a Michael Owen and move to a rival. Liverpool?”
“Never,” was the quick-fire response from the goal-scoring midfielder.
In a wide ranging Q&A session with fans on his account, the player went on to reveal that Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard was the toughest opponent he's faced. Ironically, the England international is targeting a return for the Anfield outfit in the Merseyside derby at the end of the month.
