Roque Santa Cruz insists he’s very happy at Real Betis, after the striker left Manchester City for a season-long loan.
Cruz has suffered a number of injuries at Eastlands, and says he’s looking forward to starting a new beginning at the La Liga side.
"It has been easy to adapt into the team," he said. "The players here are good, they have been very friendly and they have given me confidence."
"I was more drawn to Betis because of the fans and the philosophy of the club and the team plays well, they keep the ball and create opportunities. I made the right decision to come here and I hope to be here for a long time."
Cruz only managed 20 appearances for Manchester City since he signed with the club in 2009. He spent a loan-spell at Blackburn this year, and will now ply his trade with the Seville club before deciding over his long-term future at City.
And with Cruz pushing 30-years-old, City will no doubt be willing to sell the Paraguay international to decrease their wage outlays.
