Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale has rubbished reports linking him with a move away from the club, insisting he's happy with life at White Hart Lane.

The Welshman endured his best season in the Spurs jersey, staring in the club's run in the Champions League.

The 22-year-old was linked with moves to Manchester United as well as European giants Inter Milan and Barcelona, however he says after signing a new deal in March, that he's committed to the club.

"I never really thought about leaving Tottenham in the summer," he told the Daily Star Sunday.

"I've just signed a new deal and I'm enjoying my football. I'm playing well and I'm playing regularly.

"The main thing for me is to be playing week in, week out and getting better."

United had looked to bale as an out and out replacement for the soon to retire Ryan Giggs, while Barcelona ended up opting for Alexis Sanchez.

Bale's start to the season saw him net against Hearts in the Europa League, form that has appeared to vindicate United's decision toss sign Ashley Young.
