Lowe's brutal self-assessment

Published Add your comment

Cheltenham defender Keith Lowe has admitted he underperformed in his side's 4-1 defeat to Wimbledon at the weekend.

The right-back was substituted in the 72nd minute in a game which saw Cheltenham fall two goals behind before half-time, both of which were the result of sloppy defensive play.

The 26-year-old told the Gloucestershire Echo: "I think I deserved to be taken off to be honest."

"I think I've let the fans and the gaffer down really and I always try 100%, but some of my decision making wasn't good.

"It just didn't happen for me and I've not done my job.

"The lads were gutted in the dressing room afterwards because we feel we have let ourselves down."
