Valencia have begun contract talks with striker Paco Alcacer to attempt to warn off interest from Arsenal and Liverpool, according to talkSPORT.
The 18-year-old, who is highly rated in his homeland, has attracted interest from a host of European heavyweights.
Such has been the interest, from Arsenal and Liverpool namely, that the club want to nail the forward down to a new long-term contract, to prevent the player being tempted elsewhere.
Reports suggest the player's buyout clause could be a measly £8 million, potentially meaning he'll be easy pickings for Premier League heavyweights Arsenal and Liverpool.
The pair both added to their forward line this summer, Arsenal bringing in Gervinho and Park Chu-Young, while Liverpool re-signed Craig Bellamy from Manchester City.
