Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of QPR defender Clint Hill on loan as cover for the injured Chris Cohen.
Cohen's worst fears have been realised with scan results confirming a ruptured cruciate ligament sustained in Saturday's defeat to Derby and Hill, 32, has been drafted in on a 93-day emergency loan.
Forest manager Steve McClaren told the club's official website: "It's a bitter blow for Chris, who has been one of our stand-out performers so far this season."
McClaren continued: "But we're delighted to have agreed terms with QPR for Clint. He has great experience and will add to our defensive options."
Hill, who can operate as a central defender or at left-back, played in all but two of QPR's league games last season as they won promotion. He is expected to make his debut for Forest at Watford on Saturday.
