Crystal Palace pair Sean Scannell and Jonathan Williams have both signed new contracts with the club.

Striker Scannell, 22, has put pen to paper on a new four-and-a-half-year deal, while Wales Under-21 international Williams has committed to a three-and-a-half-year contract.

Manager Dougie Freedman the club's official website said: "I'm highly delighted that two of our younger players, who have both come through the academy, have decided to stay for a further number of years."

Freedman continued: "It's not all about getting players in, but keeping our youngsters that we already have.

"In this case both youngsters have shown they are prepared to stay and further their education with Crystal Palace Football Club."

Scannell has made 108 appearances for the club and scored 12 goals, including three in eight appearances this season and Williams, 17, made his debut against Coventry last month.
