City travel to the Allianz Arena knowing they will face a stern examination, having drawn with Napoli during their opening fixture in Europe's elite club competition.
But Roberto Mancini's side have been in free-flowing form domestically of late; scoring 19 times in their first six Barclays Premier League outings.
Silva has been one of the stand of performers in a side packed with attacking talent, and the Spaniard does not feel City should alter their forward-thinking approach when they face Bayern.
"I think we can attack them like we do at home," said the midfielder.
"We can stick to our footballing principles. We don't have to change our style against other teams home or away.
"We believe in what we are doing and have confidence in each other so we will keep doing the same things.
"The truth is Napoli played very well against us. They are a strong team.
"But against Bayern we will try the same things - to keep the ball, play with the same style and get a positive result."
