Reading midfielder Brian Howard has moved to Millwall on a three-month loan deal.

Howard, previously at Barnsley and Swindon, has struggled to break into the Royals' first team this term and has voiced his desire to play regular football to manager Brian McDermott.

"I have got nothing but positive things to say about him," McDermott told Reading's official website.

"He goes to Millwall with our very best wishes."

Howard trained with Reading on Monday morning before travelling to London to sign on with the Lions.
