Dinamo Zagreb starlet Mateo Kovacic - a reported target for Arsenal - says he is 'honoured' to be linked with Manchester United.
The 17-year-old, who has also drawn interest from Juventus, is considered as one of the most exciting prospects in European football, and has even been dubbed the 'new Luka Modric' in some sections of the Croatian press.
According to Metro, Arsenal previously made an enquiry as to the availability of the midfielder, but Arsene Wenger baulked at his £10 million price tag.
Arsenal, though, are thought to be continually monitoring the Croatia under-21 international as Wenger looks to bring a long-term replacement for Cesc Fabregas to the Emirates Stadium.
Manchester United, meanwhile, are said to have dispatched scouts to run the rule over Kovacic during Zagreb's Champions League loss to Real Madrid two weeks ago.
And, following these reports, Kovacic has admitted he is flattered by the interest of United - but is not concerned with moving to Old Trafford just yet.
"I am honoured to be linked to clubs like Juventus and Manchester United," he said. "For now I am happy here, but my day will come."
