Blades duo target Xmas return

Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson hopes to have knee-injury victims Johannes Ertl and Andy Taylor available again before Christmas.

Ertl has not started a game since March while Taylor missed the second-half of last season after being helped from the pitch during the Yorkshire derby against Hull on Boxing Day.

"They're making progress but they've still got a lot of work to do," Wilson told The Star.

"But it's good to see them both moving in the right direction.

"I would think we are looking at before Christmas. That's providing everything goes according to plan.

"I'm not one for strict timescales. I don't think they serve a purpose because situations like this can change very quickly."
