Seaborne grateful for fan reaction

Southampton defender Dan Seaborne has thanked the club's fans for their support following his release from hospital.

The 24-year-old centre-half sustained a serious head injury in an incident outside a nightclub earlier this month.

Seaborne, issued a statement on the club's official website, said: "I would like to say a massive thank you for all the support and well wishes I have received through cards, messages, phone calls and emails."

He added: "The supporters, my friends and well wishers have all been magnificent.

"I have been really touched by the kindness I have been shown, not only by the fans of Southampton Football Club and my previous club Exeter City, but also all the other football fans that have shown their support.

"It has been unreal, and I only wish I could thank them all individually."
