Lokomotiv Moscow president Olga Smorodskaya has revealed the club have been tracking the progress of Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.
The Russian forward has been on the peripheral of the Spurs first team since the appointment of Harry Redknapp as manager.
But despite admitting their interest in the forward, Smorodskaya admitted they club hadn't discussed signing the Tottenham man.
"I can not deny that we have followed him in the past," she said.
"But the period to sign players is far away and we have not talked business with Tottenham for the player."
The 29-year-old was Tottenham's top scoring striker last season, ahead of the misfiring Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch.
