Cardiff boss Malky Mackay admits he is frantically trying to bring in loan players after a spate of recent injuries.
Craig Conway, Robert Earnshaw, Mark Hudson and Rudy Gestede all sustained injuries in Sunday's 0-0 draw with Leicester.
"It was totally bizarre against Leicester, I've never known anything like it," Mackay told Wales Online.
"The past couple of days we've been making an awful lot of phone calls in terms of players, but at the moment, unfortunately, we've come up with a blank.
"So far there have been at least six we have made calls on, but it's just not suited the player or the club. They have not all been strikers, but certainly forward players.
"It's not an exact science this loan market. It's a small market we are fishing in when it comes to who might fit the bill."
