Leandro Damiao has offered his blessing to Neymar in preparation for Brazil’s match up with Argentina tonight, with the 22-year-old insisting that the Chelsea target can take on any player.
"Neymar is another man who can do the same play [as me]," Damiao told Ole.
Damiao is currently out injured, after receiving a knock while playing for Inter Milan. And Damiao said he was particularly sad not to be fronting up alongside Neymar for the game tonight.
"It brings me great sadness. I think that having the chance to play in such a massive clasico is something very special. Every player dreams of playing for their national team,” he said.
Neymar has long been connected to a possible move to Chelsea, with Metro putting the youngster’s worth at around €45 million.
While Chelsea are most certainly the front runners for Neymar’s signature in England, the Blues face tough competition from Real Madrid and Barcelona to get the Brazilian on board.
Chelsea are reportedly hoping that they can land Neymar with his Brazilian teammates David Luiz, Alex and Ramires all at Stamford Bridge already.
