Jol wary of Danish threat

Fulham manager Martin Jol is confident his side can call on their wealth of European experience to help overcome Danish side Odense.

After earning a credible draw with FC Twente in their opening group game, Jol's side travel to Scandinavia, searching for their first win of the group phase.

Going into the game having not lost in five, Jol is confident his side can rise to the challenge.

"Danish teams are always good footballing teams but we've got a good team and we've got a good record in the Europa League, home and away," he said.

"We've had a lot of draws so far this season and as you know, when Bobby has played, he's scored goals.

"Andy Johnson is fit again now so I'm confident we've got goals and enough quality in the team. We need a result on Thursday night."

Odense top Group K after one round of matches virtue of their victory over Wisla Krakow a fortnight ago, and will be keen to protect their top spot in Denmark on Thursday night.

Despite being a relative unknown quantity, Odense have lost just one of their last 15 home games on the continent, but have never beaten an English opponent in eight attempts, a record they'll be hoping to readdress tonight.
