Jonjo Shevley has confirmed a move to Blackpool on loan, with Ian Holloway trying to shore up a deal before the weekend, according to the official Liverpool website.

Shelvey has struggled for game time under Kenny Dalglish, and Blackpool have been chasing the 19-year-old all summer.

While Liverpool had reportedly said that Shevley needed to stay at Anfield for another two weeks, Holloway is said to have convinced the Reds to hand the midfielder over sooner.

Shelvey showed much potential before making the move to Liverpool, being the youngest ever first-team player for Charlton and scoring seven goals in 42 appearances for the side.

But at Liverpool, the youngster hasn’t yet scored in 15 appearances, and Dalglish is keen to get Shevley more game experience without displacing his current forntmen.
