Stevenage have been boosted by the return to fitness of strikers Chris Beardsley and Ben May ahead of the visit of Scunthorpe.
Beardsley had been out for a fortnight due to a back problem but has trained this week, while May has worked his way back to full fitness following a knock. However, Darius Charles remains doubtful as he is still struggling with a knock.
Manager Graham Westley will make a late decision on defender Jon Ashton (leg) and midfielder Jennison Myrie-Williams (hamstring) after they were withdrawn as a precautionary measure during the 1-0 defeat to Carlisle last weekend.
Latest signing Don Cowan is edging closer to making his first-team debut and he could resume training next week following a ligament problem.
Fit-again Guy Madjo impressed in his first appearance of the season against Carlisle, replacing Myrie-Williams at half-time, and the striker has put himself in contention for another run-out on Saturday. Stacy Long, Byron Harrison and Robin Shroot are also options for Westley.
Andy Barcham returns from suspension to boost Scunthorpe.
The winger was shown a straight red card in the first half of the 1-1 draw with Sheffield United, but he has since completed his three-game ban.
Defender Andrew Wright is back in training following his hamstring injury. He was an unused substitute in Saturday's 2-1 win over Yeovil, but has returned to full fitness.
Paul Reid should also feature after it was revealed his head injury was not as bad as first feared. He had to leave the pitch against the Glovers but tests have revealed he did not fracture a cheekbone.
Sam Johnstone should start in goal after extending his loan stay from Manchester United.
The Iron will be without Michael Duff, Jimmy Ryan, Josh Lillis, Cliff Byrne and Niall Canavan.
