Gills swoop for Kuffour

Gillingham have completed the signing of Jo Kuffour from League Two rivals Bristol Rovers on a three-month loan.

The 29-year-old striker had expressed his desire to move closer to London and Rovers boss Paul Buckle had described him as "in the departure lounge" earlier this month.

Kuffour has got his wish for the time being, arriving at the Priestfield Stadium in time for their match against AFC Wimbledon.
