Sven-Goran Eriksson hailed his side's performance as "excellent" after impressive Leicester cruised to a comfortable 4-0 win against east midlands rivals Derby.
First-half goals from David Nugent and Darius Vassell set them on their way, while late strikes from substitutes Jeff Schlupp and Lloyd Dyer sealed the rout.
Eriksson believed the win was one of City's best performances of the season, saying: "I thought it was a great result, and with a clean sheet again. I thought we were excellent and performed extremely well against a good side."
He added: "David Nugent did very well on his return. He has been away for a month and today scored a goal and might have had more. He and Vassell were both very good, in offence and defence.
"The first half was one of the best we've had this season, along with our first half against Forest, and I hope we can go on like this."
Nigel Clough refused to be downcast after his Derby side had crashed to their worst league defeat in almost two years.
He said: "In the first half, for a local derby, we were a yard off the pace.
"In the second half we were a bit better and I thought we were still in the game until the third went in.
"We are a young side and you are going to get results like this with inconsistencies creeping in.
"Although I'm not happy with today's first half, I'm very happy with our start to the season. Until today the lads have done exceptionally well and we are delighted with the 19 points we've already got."
