Ola John is still on Manchester United’s radar, with Sir Alex Ferguson keeping tabs on the FC Twente youngster for a possible move in January, according to Itasportpress.
The 19-year-old has only made 13 appearances for the Twente senior side, but has drawn attention from numerous top clubs, showing the potential to be a future European talent.
While United had chased the winger in the past, along with Arsenal, John chose to stay at Twente at the end of last year, hoping to ply his trade in Holland and build up more game time before making the move to England.
”Manchester United and Arsenal wanted me but I think I am still young and can learn a lot at Twente. If you are that good, the opportunity will come again when you are older. Playing in England is my dream of course,” John said in December.
”You want to play as high as possible so that is my dream. Manchester [United] is a beautiful club and Arsenal too.”
United are said to be sending scouts to watch the starlet regularly, and hope to steel the march on the Gunners and get him on board at Old Trafford in January.
