Joao Silva has admitted he may be up for sale in January, with the Everton striker unable to be guaranteed maximum playing time at Goodison Park.

Silva made the move to England from Portugal in 2010, and while the youngster was initially excited to be playing in one of Europe’s top leagues, he now feels that getting more experience on the pitch is the most important factor in furthering his career.

"I will consider leaving Everton if I receive assurances of first-team football elsewhere," he said.

"Everton are a big club but I need playing time and a club that has confidence in me and gives me opportunities."

Silva is currently on loan at Vitoria Setubal, and if Everton can come to an agreement with the Portuguese club, a permanent move for the youngster looks likely.
