Real Madrid’s director of football Zinedine Zidane has rubbished rumours that Jose Mourinho is headed for Paris Saint Germain, insisting that the rumours are as false as David Beckham moving to the French club.

"Mourinho to PSG is just a rumour," Zidane told Canal+. “He is very happy where he is.

“It is like the reports saying David Beckham is to join PSG. These are only rumours. Mourinho will, I think, be staying at Real for many years. I hope he does."

Mourinho coached Chelsea in 2004-2007, and left after a falling out with Blues owner Roman Abramovich.

Two years later, Mourinho won the Champions League trophy, his second, with Inter Milan, while Chelsea are still yet to win on Europe’s biggest stage.

The former Chelsea manager has been linked with a number of clubs after a numerous controversial incidents with Real Madrid last season.
