Rafa relishes Arsenal victory

Rafael Van der Vaart continued his incredible goalscoring run against Arsenal when he broke the deadlock between the two sides in Sunday's north London derby.

The Dutch dangerman made it four goals in three games against the Gunners, and set Spurs well on their way to a memorable 2-1 victory at White Hart Lane.

"To win against Arsenal is great and everyone is so excited, you feel it the whole day and when I scored the first goal again, I was so happy," reflected the Dutchman, whose emotions certainly exploded when his volley hit the back of the net.

"It’s crazy. I had a yellow card, so I had to be careful, but you score a goal like that and you forget everything.

"I have to say that how we made the goal was amazing, Jermain did well, a great pass from Adebayor. It was a great goal and I was really happy. It's something special."

Van der Vaart's strike across the helpless Wojciech Szczesny, opened the scoring five minutes before the break. Arsenal drew level through Aaron Ramsey, but it wasn't enough as Kyle Walker lashed home from 20 yards, to seal the three points and make it four consecutive wins in the Barclays Premier League for Harry Redknapp's side.

"It was a great game, Arsenal played well and we had some problems, but we had the best chances," he added.

"We had a few fantastic counter-attacks and it was a pity we didn't score more goals, but in the end 2-1, that's great."
