Gills could recall King

Published Add your comment

Plymouth could be dealt a blow with the news Gillingham are considering recalling defender Simon King from his loan spell at Home Park.

King has played five games for the Pilgrims since joining last month but, with injuries restricting manager Andy Hessenthaler`s options at the back, he may be summoned back to Kent in time for this weekend`s clash with Port Vale.

Hessenthaler will be without Matt Fish, Barry Fuller, Joe Martin and Andy Frampton for the fixture, leaving his side light in defence.

"We will have a look at it and he could be (recalled)," Hessenthaler told the Kent Messenger.

"We need to see who is injured and who is available. We need to have a chat and get things ready for the weekend."
