Manchester City are ready to sign teen sensation Zakaria Bakkali in a big money deal with Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven reports the Daily Mirror.

The 15-year-old Belgian youth international is widely regarded as a star of the future, having been voted the best young player in the world at the recent Nike Cup.

The Moroccan-born striker is small in stature, but fast and skillful on the ball, and it is those qualities that have made Bakkali one of the most sought-after youngsters in Europe.

Citizens boss Roberto Mancini is keen to add to his array of young talent at the Etihad Stadium, and with plans for a new academy at Manchester City well under way - the player could make the move to England as soon as the January transfer window.

Bakkali is tipped to go straight into City's academy, where he will be nurtured as he continues his development.

PSV are also said to be keen to agree a future loan deal between the two clubs - giving the player an opportunity to gain some first-team experience in the Eredivisie before he makes the eventual step up to the senior Manchester City side.
