Northampton boss Gary Johnson has no fresh injury worries for the visit of joint-league leaders Crawley.

But he will again be without Nick McKoy, with the midfielder serving the final match of a four-game suspension following his sending off against AFC Wimbledon last month.

The Cobblers have also been boosted by the return of striker Bas Savage who has recovered from the foot injury that has kept him out since the middle of September.

The summer signing has trained all week and is in contention for a place on the substitutes' bench.

Strikers Lewis Young and Adebayo Akinfenwa shook off knocks to play in Saturday's 2-1 win at Barnet and will again be named in the starting line-up having suffered no reaction.

Kyle McFadzean and Tyrone Barnett are major doubts for Crawley.

Defender McFadzean sustained a groin injury at the end of last weekend's win over Plymouth and striker Barnett was forced off with a recurrence of a hamstring problem.

Boss Steve Evans admits he is "not very hopeful" of having either player available at Sixfields.

But midfield duo Josh Simpson (hip) and Scott Neilson (shoulder) could return after recovering from knocks and club captain Pablo Mills is set to travel with the squad after six months on the sidelines.

The defender made his comeback from ankle surgery with a 45-minute run-out for the reserves in midweek and could be on the bench.
