Theo Walcott’s agent has cooled speculation that the winger is planning a move to Juventus in the January transfer period, insisting that no contact has been made with the Serie A giants.

"Juventus have never called us. We have not received calls from Italy recently,” Colin Gordon said.

Walcott has been a star for Arsenal since he moved to the club from Southampton in 2006, but with his contract running out in 2013, transfer speculation will no doubt surround the 22-year-old next summer.

Andrey Arshavin and Robin Van Persie also have contracts that run out in 2013, and Arsenal are working overtime to get the trio to re-sign so they don’t have a repeat of the Samir Nasri saga.

And while Van Persie has continually said he wants to stay at Arsenal, Walcott isn’t so sure. When asked if his plan was to stay at the Emirates, Gordon replied: "We'll see. I don't know what will happen."

Big clubs will no doubt start chasing if they hear that Walcott could be made available.
