Everton are being linked with a January move for Caen defender Yroundu Musavu-King.
The 19-year-old has impressed watching Toffees scouts, according to SkySports.com, with manager David Moyes reportedly preparing a bid for the player in the New Year.
Funds are known to be at a premium for the Goodison Park chief, although the sales of Mikel Arteta and Jermaine Beckford could provide the Everton boss with some leverage in the transfer window in 2012.
Renowned for chasing bargain deals, Musavu-King would come into that category, although represents a gamble for Everton as the teenager is yet to establish himself in the Ligue 1 side's first team.
Should Moyes make his move for the player, Musavu-King would be introduced into the Everton first team gradually, and faces competition from John Heitinga, Phil Jagielka, Sylvain Distin and Shane Duffy for a place in the senior squad.
