Fabio Capello is keeping ‘close tabs’ on Arsenal starlet Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, the Daily Star claims, with the winger looking closer than ever to stepping up for the senior national side.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has starred since making the step up from then-League One side Southampton, and has clocked up appearances for the England Under 21 national side as well.
And with Arsenal's injury list growing, Oxlade-Chamberlain has been given the opportunity to stand up and show his worth, a feat that he has taken full advantage of.
The Arsenal starlet scored a hat trick against Iceland this week for the England Under 21s side, and Capello is now reportedly considering Oxlade-Chamberlain for a senior debut.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has also scored in his last two games for Arsenal, including his Champions League debut, showing Capello that he has what it takes to play alongside the best in the country.
