Gaston Ramirez will definitely exit Bologna by next summer, according to the midfielder’s agent, with Manchester United on alert for the star as a possible replacement for Paul Scholes.
Ramirez has been connected with numerous clubs around Europe since signing with Bologna in 2010, and while Napoli were thought to be front runners to sign the 20-year-old, his agent insists many clubs are keeping tabs.
"The executives of Bologna will have to resign themselves: Ramirez, between January and June, will surely leave," the agent told Radio Kiss Kiss.
"Will he go to Napoli? Many teams like him. We will see."
Manchester United have long been connected to the midfielder, and particularly after Paul Scholes left Old Trafford at the end of the season, United are continually on the look out for a possible replacement.
But United will have a decent amount of competition to sign the Uruguay international, who has scored four goals in 27 appearances for his Serie A side over the last season.
