Steve Kean has been told that Blackburn need to produce results and turn their season around, after they returned from a friendly with Pune in India this week.
Rovers currently sit 19th in the Barclays Premier League table, and have collected just four points from seven matches.
And Blackburn co-owner Venkatesh Rao, who met with Kean and the Blackburn players during their friendly trip, revealed that their discussions were around the side needing to get results and pick up points.
"Believe me, it was frank and straight and we need results,” Rao said.
"Everyone is looking forward - from the players to the manager to the owners.
"I am positive. The luck didn't go for us in the first two games and then we had a wonderful win [against Arsenal] before we were sliding down.
"Now after this meeting and the team coming especially to India, they have had a refreshing time, and I think they will go with a positive note after this meeting."
Supporters in particular have been angry at the situation currently surrounding Blackburn, and some have called for Kean to be sacked. But Rao insisted that while he understands fans being upset, if they stick with the current system results will materialise.
"I would like to assure the fans we are very much concerned about the situation,” he explained.
"It is really painful, I know that. It is painful for the owners with what is happening.
"I would like to be honest - we will show some results and we will produce some results and make our fans happy."
