It was a night to remember for Tottenham Hotspur's players in the Euro 2012 qualifiers last night as a couple booked their place in Ukraine and Poland next summer.
Roman Pavlyuchenko struck the third goal in a comfortable 6-0 victory over Andorra in Moscow, securing top spot ahead of the Republic of Ireland in Group B and a place in the tournament proper.
Younes Kaboul also enjoyed success with France, although watched from the substitutes bench as Samir Nasri equalised against Bosnia to secure qualification from Group D as winners.
Rafael van der Vaart played 90 minutes for the Dutch in their first defeat of the qualifying rounds, but the 3-2 defeat in Sweden was irrelevant as Holland had already won their group comfortably. The Swede's secured automatic qualification as the best placed runner-up.
Croatian trio Luka Modric, Niko Kranjcar and Vedran Corluka will go into the play-off round of the competition after finishing second in Group F.
Despite losing to Greece on Friday night, Slaven Bilic's side looked set to take top-spot with a 2-0 win against Latvia. However, two late goals against Georgia took the Greek side into the competition proper with a 2-1 victory.
It was also a good night for Gareth Bale, whose 44th minute strike secured a 1-0 win against Bulgaria. The win cemented their position of fourth place in the group behind Switzerland, Montenegro and England, who won Group G with help from Spurs player Scott Parker on Friday night.
