Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor is a major fitness doubt for the trip to Newcastle United on Sunday.
The Togolese striker, who has already scored three goals since his loan move from Manchester City was completed, had proved himself to be a shrewd addition at White Hart Lane.
But following victory over Adebayor's former side Arsenal, it appears a hamstring injury may keep him out for the visit to St James' Park.
Newcastle remain unbeaten in the Barclays Premier League this season, beating Wolverhampton Wanderers on their last outing.
They currently hold the longest unbeaten run in the league, of ten games, stretching back to last season and pose a decent test against Harry Redknapp's Champions League chasers.
While Redknapp will be sweating over the fitness of Adebayor, he will have been impressed with the return to form of Gareth Bale, who struck twice for Wales in their Euro 2012 qualifying double header.
Despite scoring against Hearts in the Europa League, Bale's recent form has been in stark contrast to the showings he produced last season, where performances, particularly in the Champions League, made him into one of most talked about players on the continent.
