Olympique Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier is a January transfer target for Chelsea and Arsenal, according to The People.
The highly-rated 20-year-old midfielder, who has been dubbed the 'French Kaka' has also attracted interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid, and with a modest valuation of £9million there is a good chance he will leave before the summer.
Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas is said to have told scouts to monitor Grenier with a view to a potential move to Stamford Bridge, as the Chelsea chief continues to place an emphasis on youth development in west London.
Grenier has only featured 11 times for the former Ligue 1 champions, but is widely regarded as a star of the future, such is the optimism surrounding the youngster.
His potential has also garnered interest from north London, as Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger keeps tabs on the situation, and may look to hijack a deal in order to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.
Either way, when the transfer window reopens in January, Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid could face a three-way fight to land Grenier's sought-after signature.
