It comes as no surprise that Manchester United have been linked with Ricky van Wolfswinkel, according to the Dutch striker's agent.
Van Wolfswinkel has been in fine form since his summer move from Utrecht to Sporting CP - netting six times in eight appearances for the Portuguese club.
This recent form has reportedly caught the attention of United who, it has claimed, were interested in bringing the 22-year-old to Old Trafford prior to his switch to the Estádio José Alvalade.
Since then, United assistant manager Mike Phelan has confirmed the Red Devils are keen on van Wolfswinkel and a potential January bid has been mooted.
However, the young forward will not have his head turned by the interest of United, and his agent has confirmed the Barclays Premier League champions have yet to be in touch.
"It's logical that Ricky would be linked with major clubs," Louis Laros told Voetbal International.
"For the moment, I have not heard from them (United) and Sir Alex Ferguson hasn't been on the line. That's not how it works. It's only October.
"In about three months everything will be different."
