Arsenal are considering making a January move for VVV Venlo youngster Ahmed Musa, according to Norwegian online paper Nettavisen, with the 18-year-old impressing in Holland this season.
Musa appeared set to join Schalke 04 in January, but Arsene Wenger has reportedly been keeping tabs on the youngster, and is looking at making a swoop come the next transfer window.
Arsenal have been connected with countless youngsters during Wenger’s reign, with the Gunners manager keen on bringing in young players to create a team with a long-term goal to win trophies.
While Arsenal have been criticised of late for this policy, Wenger is said to be continuing to chase starlets that he believes are future European talents.
Barcelona are also said to be interested in Musa, and the Catalan club’s hopes of signing Musa have reportedly made Arsenal even more desperate to get in on the action and seal a deal as soon as possible.
