Stoke City continued maintained their unbeaten start at home in the Barclays Premier League with victory over Fulham at the Britannia Stadium.
Jon Walters turned in Matthew Etherington’s shot, before the winger laid on Rory Delap to double the lead.
John Arne Riise’s best efforts only resulted in the ball hitting the bar as Fulham toiled against The Potters.
Peter Crouch could have twice given the hosts an early lead, volleying over from Jermaine Pennant’s cross, but shooting wide following a one-two with the former Arsenal protégé.
It took until the second period for Tony Pulis’ side to get the breakthrough as Walters reacted quickest from Etherington’s shot.
And with three minutes remaining, Etherington helped add a second, as his delicious cross was headed in by Delap.
