Nathan Eccleston has made a move to Rochdale on a month long loan, the Liverpool website have confirmed, with the 20-year-old hoping to feature for the League One side as soon as this weekend.

Eccleston has had loan spells at Huddersfield Town and Charlton Athletic, and Rochdale manager Steve Eyre said he’s particularly excited to have the 20-year-old around.

"I'm very grateful to Liverpool for their co-operation,” he said.

"He's a very good man, he's a got a lot of fire in his belly, a lot of talent and he loves to score a goal."

Eccleston has made seven appearances for Liverpool, after moving to the club from Bury in 2009.

While Kenny Dalglish has no room in his squad for Eccleston at the moment, the Liverpool manager will no doubt be considering that when the youngster gets close to his peak, he will be a big asset for the Reds.
