Newcastle v Wigan;
Barclays Premier League;
St James’ Park;
Sat, 23th Oct; 1500 KO
Fabricio Coloccini will be fit to feature for Newcastle after recovering from a toe problem, and Haris Vickic and Alan Smith will be included again after coming back from injuries.
Hugo Rodallega is likely to star for Wigan after coming off the bench last week on the road to recovery from injury. Maynor Figueroa could replace Steve Gohouri after the defender came off for the club at half time last week.
Martinez wants to push players
Roberto Martinez says his players must learn to be pushed to the limit week in, week out, as Wigan prepare to face Newcastle on Saturday.
Wigan are currently 19th in the Barclays Premier League table, and have collected only five points from eight matches.
And as the side attempt to get their season back on track, Martinez has insisted that with their backs against the wall, Wigan will deliver the results required.
"When you play for Wigan you need to be able to defy the odds and that is the way we have always played our football," he said.
"I feel we are capable of responding to adversity and that is what we have to do on Saturday.

"Don't get me wrong, we don't want to be in our current position, but we know at the moment it doesn't mean anything now because it could be a reflection of who you have played and what injuries you have.
"We know where we are and what we have to correct. The next game is a massive football occasion and we are ready for that.
"At Wiganyou learn to push yourself to the maximum. We have been seven seasons in the Premier League and we have to give everything and more to keep that going."
