Scandinavian starlet opts for City move over Liverpool

Norwegian forward Bersant Celina has chosen to sign for Manchester City, over Liverpool.

Blackburn Rovers were also interested in the starlet who agreed terms at the Etihad Stadium ahead of signing a three-year deal.

Despite interest from Liverpool, Celina said it was his dream to move to City.

"This is a childhood dream coming true." Celina said. "I believe it will be very good for me."

Celina will join City after finishing school in Norway in 2012, as Liverpool rue a missed opportunity.

The signing of Celina is a change of emphasis from City, who have spent big during the summer, and would have been a similar change of policy from Liverpool, given there spending spree of late, had the player chosen instead to move to Anfield.
