Arsenal and Liverpool's pursuit of AIK defender Alex Milosevic could be ambushed by Celtic, according to the Scottish Sun.
The 19-year-old, who has also been followed by Tottenham Hotspur and Werder Bremen, is attracting interest from throughout Europe.
Arsenal and Liverpool were reportedly the front-runners, however AIK spokesman Jens Andersson admits there are several parties in for the stopper, with Celtic one of those linked.
"Alex is a player who has created a lot of interest," he said.
"Out of respect for the clubs, I won't talk about them by name. But there is a lot of interest in him around Europe.
"He's still under contract with us, but football is a business."
At 6ft 3in, the Swede would be a great addition to Arsenal, Celtic and Liverpool, while all three would provide a great stage for the defender to show-off his talents.
Furthermore, all three are in need of some new defensive resources, with Arsenal and Liverpool off the pace in their attempts to qualify for the Champions League, while Celtic are 10 points behind leaders Rangers at the top of the SPL.
If the trio can't fulfil their main objectives for the season, then they may seek a run in a cup competition, and with Arsenal and Celtic also having to contend with European commitments, extra players may need to be recruited in January.
Liverpool's history in the League Cup means they're likely to take the competition seriously, with manager Kenny Dalglish having won the trophy four times as a player at Anfield.
