Multi million Forest deal falls-through

Published Add your comment

A £20 million takeover of Nottingham Forest has fallen through, according to the Sun.

A Chinese consortium scrapped the deal on Monday despite the club having won their first two matches under new manager Steve Cotteril.

However, the consortium are reportedly baffled by Forest's appointment for the former Portsmouth boss, with a deal on the brink of completion.

The group will now end their negotiation with Forest and seek investment elsewhere in the Npower Championship.

Forest are currently 19th in the table after back-to-back wins, with Cotterill eyeing a healthy transfer kitty this summer, which now seems like a distant dream.
