Andy Polo's agent has hinted the striker will be moving to Germany, instead of a move to the Barclays Premier League.
The 17-year-old is rated as one of the brightest young talents, and was heavily linked with a move to England.
However, any move to Arsenal or Liverpool appears to be off, with a switch to Germany for the South American seems more likely.
"There are two clubs in Germany who are very interested in Andy and there is a very close agreement.
"In the next 48 hours they have to call me and tell me they want to do the deal. If all goes well on Thursday or Friday we should be close. Andy Polo will play in Europe next year."
While Arsenal were reported to have spoken to representatives of the player, Liverpool had offer the player a trial period at the club.
However, despite Arsenal and Liverpool's track record of bringing through young players, Polo appears to have opted for a move to Germany.
