Arsene Wenger believes Park Ju-Young is ready to challenge for a first team place after scoring the winning goal against Bolton last night.

The South Korea international netted early in the second half with a sublime finish, after Andrey Arshavin had equalised for the Gunners.

Manchester United also progressed to the Carling Cup quarter-finals with a comfortable 3-0 win over League Two side Aldershot.

Dimitar Berbatov scored the opener in a rare start for the Red Devils, while Michael Owen and Antonio Valencia were also on the score sheet.

Chelsea play Everton at Goodison Park this evening, desperate to bounce back from their controversial defeat at QPR on Sunday.

Liverpool are also in action, looking to maintain the challenge for their first silverware since 2005 with a difficult trip to the Britannia Stadium.

Elsewhere tonight, Wolves welcome high flying Manchester City and Blackburn take on undefeated Newcastle United at Ewood Park.
